Ginger winter warmer: Pumpkin spice latte recipe

Ginger winter warmer: Pumpkin spice latte recipe

In homage to the season’s ever-popular Pumpkin Spiced Latte (and everything else, including hair!), we thought you autumnal gingers would like to have a go at making your own. Espresso blended with warming spices; cinnamon, nutmeg and clove and topped up with steamed milk and topped with delectably sweetened whipped cream.

Another warming drink to add to your repertoire for those cold wintery nights, brrrrrr

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 cup of hot milk
2 tsp pumpkin spice syrup (we like Routin, available at a1coffee.co.uk)
1 shot espresso
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
Double cream (whipped with a little icing sugar to sweeten)
Good pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg
One clove

How to do it:

1. Warm your milk with the cinnamon, nutmeg and clove and leave to infuse for 5-10 minutes.

2. Remove the clove, and pour into a blender with the vanilla extract and sugar and blend until nice and frothy.

3. Pour the mixture onto your shot of espresso and pumpkin syrup to about 2/3 full.

4. Top with a huuuuge helping of whipped cream. You deserve it.

5. Enjoy!
