Mermaid Curls
If you are bored of having hair that just rests in its natural from, whether that be straight or slightly wavy, then curls are the way to go. Applying heat to your hair is known to cause split ends, and ultimately damages your hair overall. But you can also create the same ‘mermaid curls’ by using heatless hair tools, some people are even using the waist band string of their dressing gowns!
Step 1: Wash your hair and wait until it is almost dry.
Step 2: Part your hair so that it is separated into two sections from the middle.
Step 3: Take the waist band of your robe or your heatless curling headband, and place it over your head. Make sure that the middle of the band is resting on your middle parting.
Step 4: Take strands of your hair from the sections that hang either side of your neck, and wrap it around the band (as if it is a pole) – tie the ends off with a hair band as usual.
Step 5: Let your twisted braids set into your hair overnight, and take them out in the morning.
Step 6: Enjoy your new mermaid look!
