The Ginger Power of Red Eye Shadow for Redheads

Having ginger hair makes you stand out of the crowd. And being bold is beautiful, so what better way to show off your confidence as a redhead than to make a statement with your make-up as well as your red hair?

Bold eye shadow colours are really on trend right now, and is a simple way to add flare and spark to your make-up palette without looking too outlandish.

One of the eye shadow colours making a big appearance in the world of fashion and cosmetics is red. While some redheads shy away of wearing red in any shape or form, red eye shadow is a great match for redheads for multiple reasons.

Firstly, the deep red hues pair nicely against a redhead’s fair skin. The warmness of the red doesn’t wash out pale skin as much as other bold colours would, such as yellow or orange. Secondly, the red eye shadow also compliments the different reddish tones found in ginger hair.

Red eye shadow also offers a good alternative to the traditional smoky eye. If you want to use darker eye shadow, but want to stay away from greys or blacks in fear of it being too heavy, then a deep red tone offers a subtler dark look. Red is also a great choice for this time of year – creating some warmness for autumn and winter.

My favourite is Revlon’s ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow in Decadent, but here are some other red eye shadow palettes to try, too…
