Do redheads wear fake tan? What do they use?

Redheads are usually stereotyped to have freckled faces and pale skin. Could you imagine meeting a ginger person who had a warn skin tone and not a freckle anywhere!? Surely not!

Well of course, we all know that the MC1R gene can develop throughout any race or ethnicity, we also know that not all redheads have freckles and redheads are known for getting sunburned easily.

But why oh why are pale redheads so against using fake tan?

Those with fair skin will understand the nightmare that sunny days bring. You have to constantly make sure that you are topped up with SPF and are covered head to toe by a UV resistant layer.

After speaking to some of you, we found out that fair-skinned redheads simply don’t enjoy wearing fake tan because they have finally accepted their natural skin tone!

One of our followers explained that they prefer to find lighter and more natural ways to tan. They told us: “I live in the southern US – I just walk outside and get more sun.”

In fact, 90% of our followers on Instagram said that they did not wear fake tan during winter!

Just 7% of our followers said that they do wear fake tan in the colder seasons, and 3% admitted that they had considered it.

For those of you who do choose to self-tan in the winter season, we asked you which products you highly recommend.
