Redhead emojis have finally dropped on iPhones in iOS 12.1 and we’re FREAKING OUT

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, let 30 October 2018 be known as the day of ginger emoji equality! Because, as unbelievable as it sounds, redhead emojis have arrived on Apple products today!

No, really, this is not a drill. Not this time. Apple confirmed it with actual words

iOS 12.1 will be available Tuesday, October 30, bringing Group FaceTime and more than 70 new emoji to iPhone and iPad.

More than 70 new emoji come to iPhone and iPad with iOS 12.1, including new characters with red hair, gray hair and curly hair, a new emoji for bald people, more emotive smiley faces and additional emoji representing animals, sports and food.

The iOS 12.1 update dropped around 5pm UK time, so what are you waiting for? Get updating! Head to Settings > General > Software Update. iOS 12.1 should be showing as available (as long as you’ve got enough space on your device!). Other software providers such as Android should already have their version of ginger emojis up and running.

Happy emoji-ing, redheads! They’re all yours.

What on Earth should we campaign for next?!
