Redhead Day 2012
Hallo! Goedemorgen, Parrots! So there’s Mothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day, and there’s even an entire day dedicated to groundhogs, of all things. But did you ever think to yourself, “Hold on: where the blinkin’ hell is Redhead Day?”
I’ll tell you where and when it is, and it isn’t even just one day; it’s a WHOLE WEEKEND. This year’s Redhead Day, or rather Roodharigendag, will be held on 1st and 2nd September in Breda, Holland. Thousands of redheads from all over the world will get together, hang out, and (probably) have a good moan about how blondes and brunettes don’t understand them. And they even get special treatment when they take a wander around the town, with shops and cafés giving discounts for gingers.
Amazing, right? What’s better is the whole weekend is totally FREE, apart from your own expenses. Ginger Parrot will of course be in attendance with bells on, reporting from the fashion shows, artistic photoshoots, and various other ginger-worshipping activities.
I, the non-ginger counterpart of the Ginger Parrot team, am even considering dying my hair red for the occasion, so watch out for the report on that particular tale.
