‘No Make-Up’ Make-Up Tutorial For Redheads
Sometimes you want to be fresh-faced but not totally bare-faced. That’s where the trusty No Make-Up Make-Up Look comes in handy.
Check out the below step-by-step make-up tutorial from Ginger Parrot’s resident make-up artist guru, model and natural redhead, Grace Gray, and learn how to perfect your no make-up make-up for redheads. An extensive list of products used throughout the tutorial are below, too.
Skin
Mix Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation shades 135=R300 (red tint) and Y205 for the base, depending on skin shade.
Apply foundation using Real Techniques Foundation Brush.
Go over any blemishes or dark circles using Ultra HD Concealer in shade Y21, depending on skin shade. A Real Techniques Concealer Brush will be useful for application.
Eyes
Cover the whole eye lid with Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Palette, in Foxy. Use a fluffy eye brush to do this, such as Real Techniques Shading Brush.
Go back over your eye lids using Booty Call, right up into the brow bone. Also apply to the inner corners of your eyes, blending outwards.
Apply the Chopper shade mixed with Suspect to the crease of your eye sockets and blend up and out into the brow bone.
If desired, you can define your lash line with a brown eye pencil, gently flicking at the top and bottom lash lines. Blend these lines with the eye brush to soften.
Brows
Use a disposable spooly to brush out brows then apply brow product for redheads to define. Re-brush your brows with a spooly to soften the colour.
Cheeks
Work your way through the shades of the Sleek MakeUP Contouring Palette in Fair.
First, use a fan brush to pick up some of the brown shade. Tap off the excess and lightly contour. Next, pick up the pink colour, smile and apply to the apple of the cheek towards the temple. Use the highlighter shade to apply to top of the cheekbone, the bridge of your nose, lips and chins slightly.
Blend all the products on your face out for a natural look.
Mascara
Curl lashes with eyelash curlers. Then use a lightweight mascara product, such as Natural Collections mascara in Black.
Lips
A lip pencil is great for natural looks. L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lip Liner in Beige A Nu is warm yet natural. Colour in all of your lips with the pencil.
Apply a bit of Dr.PAWPAW Original Clear Balm over the top of your lips for a natural sheen and to seal.
Top Tip: Apply your make-up in natural daylight. This is the best way to know that your skin tone is blended just right!
