Nope, you’ve not hopped back in time to 1995 – this Jumanji is brand new! And better yet, it stars fellow ginger goddess Karen Gillan in her latest Hollywood role.
The Scottish redhead is going up and up in the world, having first starred in Doctor Who from 2008, in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014 and now in this sequel-cum-remake, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. And aside from there being a slight feminist uproar regarding Karen’s costume in this film, or lack thereof (we’re assured it’s actually the opposite of sexism), Jumanji looks to be an inventive and funny update on the original family favourite.

The plot follows four teenagers who discover an old games console and decide to fire it up, only to be sucked into the game’s world where they have to play out the game together and try to survive.
One thing left to add: Karen’s game world character is Ruby Roundhouse…naturally.
Catch Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in cinemas from Christmas 2017!
