It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And my fellow gingers, it’s time to put our best faces forward this holiday season.
So, if you’re on the hunt for some new make-up to try, or you’re looking for a few great gifts to give someone else, look no further.
I’m providing my personal Top 10 Beauty Gifts For Gingers, which can be found on websites as well as high street stores.
You. Are. Welcome.
I love discovering new beauty products. What I don’t love, however, is being forced to commit to a full-size product that can sometimes be pretty expensive, especially if I don’t know if I’m going to absolutely love it.
But luckily, Birchbox exists! Every month you’ll receive a box full of personalised trial size beauty products. Don’t worry, the samples are larger than most and they throw in a full-size product every once in a while.
There’s really nothing better than coming home to cute nail polish, a new favorite lipstick, and that liquid eyeliner that will finally help you conquer the ever-so frustrating task of creating the perfect cat eye.
And gingers, it gets better. Birchbox customises each box to you, based on skin colour, skin type, and hair colour too! In addition, you get to pick what kind of samples you want. So if you only want skincare products they’ll only send you skincare products.
And in the case that you find your new favourite beauty product, Birchbox offers 20% off full size versions that have been featured in their boxes.

Finally, make-up for the 2%! Redhead Revolution recognises the need for ginger-friendly skincare and make-up products. From Gingerlash Mascara to Au Naturel Sunscreen, your redhead beauty needs are catered for.
If there’s one thing I absolutely hate about foundation, it’s that sometimes, no matter how light of a shade I buy, it still looks too dark and too cakey.
Make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury knows redheads. She’s ginger herself, after all! This foundation comes in 20 shades, with shades 0-3 really suiting those paler redheads out there, plus it’s nice and light while getting the right amount of coverage.
Chapped lips seem to be inevitable in the winter, and while I’m a big fan of all things Burts Bees and Blistex, nothing feels better on chapped lips than Carmex.
It’s been around forever, and while it doesn’t come in 50 flavours, or in any shades of pink, it provides instant relief to the most severely chapped lips.
Not only will it make your lips feel better, but your wallet too!
All redheads should wear SPF in the daytime. And yes, that goes for winter, too, those pesky UV rays are still out there!
La Roche-Posay’s Hydraphase UV Intense Riche is SPF 20, and is also really good at keeping any dryness at bay during the winter.
NARS lipsticks are top notch. The satin lip texture gives you an opaque color with a touch of sheen, which looks great alone or over a matte finish when you don’t feel like going for a high gloss effect.
The NIAGARA shade looks like a mix between a neutral coral and a dark pink. While it’s not the most dramatic shade, it definitely looks the most natural when trying to bring out bold eye make-up.
Nothing screams Christmas like sparkly red nail polish. And while I’m sure you can find some cheap red nail polish with a glitter top coat, I doubt you can find a better nail lacquer than Butter London’s ‘Knees Up’.
Butter London was one of the first nail polish brands to create long-lasting lacquer without formaldehyde, toluene, or DBP. Not only is it safe, but it’s heavily pigmented so you don’t need more than two coats to get the richest and brightest color. And the best part is that it doesn’t chip or dull.
Glitter eye make-up is literally everywhere this season, and while it looks good on kids and teenagers, sometimes it’s a hard trend to pull off as an adult.
But Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter eyeliner allows you to dabble in the glitter trend without having too much of a good thing.
It goes on smoothly and you don’t have to worry about the glitter flaking off your eyelid. It’s a subtle hint of glitter that makes your eyes pop!
For those with green eyes, stick with the purple shade to compliment the green. Blue eyes should stick with either the gold or silver, and brown eyes look best with the green or pink shade.

Keep your hair and skin glowing this winter with oil. One of the biggest struggles with beauty is trying to achieve shine without it looking oily.
The best part? You can also use it on your skin to keep it glowing as well! Mix one part dry oil with any moisturizer and you’ll achieve glowing skin that doesn’t scream, “I’ve been stuck inside all winter.”
