For all you redhead lovers who can’t get enough of gingers in Film, we’ve got a treat in store for you, with the return of Jessica Chastain in Tar!
Written and directed by 12 student filmmakers in New York, Tar is based on Pulitzer prize-winning poet CK Williams’ collection of poems of the same name.
As CK prepares for a reading of ‘Tar’ in New York he spends his time haunted by memories. Throughout the film, we come to experience his life’s central relationships as the film flips between past and present.
The movie takes us from CK’s childhood to adolescence, to his success in the early 1980s.
But the real pull of this film is the stellar cast, ranging from the wonderfully talented James Franco, beautiful Mila Kunis and our personal favourite, natural ginger Jessica Chastain!
In the film we get to see Jessica in beautiful 1940’s Detroit where she plays CK’s loving mother. We can already tell from the trailer (above) that this time next year we’ll be channeling 1940’s Mrs Williams with twisty red hair up do’s and cardigan/blouse combos!
With no confirmed release date yet, we’ll have to make do with glimpses of gingery goodness from J-Chassy in the dreamy trailer.
