Music: Florence and the Machine releases track for Snow White movie

Florence + The Machine’s new track ‘Breath of Life’ is the first to be announced from the soundtrack to the forthcoming Snow White and the Huntsman, and all I can say, is it’s a powerful beast.

The song features the lovely redhead Florence Welch’s epically heart-wrenching voice teamed with a fully-stocked orchestra, and is said to be inspired by the film’s evil Queen Ravenna, played by Charlize Theron.

It’s all rather spooky, and we love it. In true Florence fashion, it will make the hairs on the back your neck stand up.

The release of the track follows the band’s Number 1 success of current album, Ceremonials, released back in October last year.

The soundtrack is expected to be released on 29th May in the US, with the film to follow in UK cinemas on 1st June 2012.

There are no clips of the track to be found on UK sites right now, but here’s Florence singing a live clip, courtesy of MTV.
