Hundreds of redheads (and ginger lovers) are set to join the ‘Night of the Walking Red’ on 11 October, in Troy, New York, for the League of Extraordinary Red Heads‘ annual ‘toast of coppertops’.
The event will take place at Ryan’s Wake Public House in downtown Troy from 5pm onwards. With a glass of Saranac pumpkin ale or 2 Gingers Whiskey in hand, redheads will toast to the future of Gingerkind, and as is the League’s custom, will also discuss their concise meeting agenda of only two items: “1) Us. 2) Them.”
A sunset group photo will take place on the deck at 6.15pm to kick off the evening’s festivities, as local blue grass band Red Haired Strangers provide fiery entertainment for the rest of the evening. A photobooth and other ginger activities will also take place.
Admission to the event is free and all ages and hair colours are welcome (including the littlest of redheads!), so if you’re available and in the Troy area, be sure to join your fellow ginger kin to toast the coppertops!
