For those of you who haven’t heard us bang on about it at every opportunity, Roodharigendag, AKA Redhead Days is an annual international festival celebrating ginger hair, attracting thousands upon thousands to Breda, The Netherlands.
Congregating together in the cute, cobbled-street city of Breda, these gingers (the GP Team included) meet, drink, chat and make friends, bonding over their rare genetic connection and love of red hair.
From photoshoots to a giant ginger pub crawl, genetics seminars to world record attempts (and successes); the Redhead Days packs a ridiculous amount of ginger love into one weekend.
The festival is now in its TENTH YEAR, and we can hardly believe it (we’re feeling very proud right now), which means that it’s all the more important to make Redhead Days 2015 count.
Redhead Days needs YOU
The weekend-long festival is totally free to attend and is run by unpaid volunteers, so it’s only through kind donations that it can go ahead each year.
To raise money for this incredibly worthy cause, Redhead Days has launched a Fundrazr campaign, to ensure that magical and gingerful activities can be provided at the 10-year anniversary event.
And let’s face it; any event that encourages redheads to celebrate their natural ginger hair colour is OK by us.
There are heaps of gingerful perks to get your hands on, including rusksacks (€5), universal phone chargers (€15), RHD t-shirts (above left, €20) and hoodies (above right, €35).
Redhead Days 2015 will kick off in Breda, The Netherlands, with a welcome party on 4th September, and will close on 6th September. We can’t wait!
